help enabling headless build
Hi. I'm currently working on a patch to enable headless builds of
boot-floppies, which are currently prevented by the process used
to build keymaps.tgz. Unfortunately, I ... neglected ... to save
a prepatched copy of keymaps.tgz for purposes of comparison. And
there's an issue which has come up which might be a bug in my
patch, but I think is actually a bug in the original script (!)
So, if anyone who hasn't done anything to that part of the source
lately can send me a copy of keymaps.tgz built on i386 it would
save me checking out a whole new workspace...and if that person
could additionally change the 'dumpkeys' in the main loop of
keymaps.sh to 'dumpkeys -f' and send the resulting keymaps.tgz as
well...well then that would really be great.
Failing that I'll probably check out another copy and do this
myself at about 17:00 UTC Mar 28... I'm determined to have a patch
out to the list for testing by Wed. midday latest despite the fact
there's no way it's going in 2.2.9...
