Ugh, that doesn't sound good. It's very hard to debug such things however.

Yeah -- you can also use vmware (commercial) or, do what I do, which
is use a tiny 200MB partition for bf testing.
Dale, btw, glad to see you're involved in this. Let us know
especially which on-screen messages or happenings seem
counter-intuitive etc.
I'm going to be looking for other ways to reduce steps or simplify
dbootstrap as well, although getting the documentation in shape is
another big issue.
