Yes, but I found that 'kill -1' (or something similar - you get the
idea) does work.

I get that message once (next time I try to reboot I don't get it),
but nothing more. Then, interestingly enough, once I kill all the
other processes (or maybe even just dbootstrap - I can't remember),
init proceeds to reboot.
