If you are referring to me, I certainly would like to. However, I do lack
the expertise, let alone any experience with boot floppies besides as a
user of them.

Where would one go about making the cuts necessary to reduce the memory
requirements? In the kernel? In the size and contents of the ram
disk?

Perhaps someone else on the boot-floppies list has something to offer?

Also, will the code change mentioned before allow the system to now boot
with 8 megs? I'm not sure it was clear from the above. Does that make
this bug resolved?

Thanks,
Chris
