I am using the standard kernel with the ramdisk option at bootup from two
floppies. I have not tried compact.

I installed lilo manually after the base ystem was installed.

I'm not sure what you mean, when I attempted to configure the keyboard, it
said it couldn't write to a file in /tmp as the system was mounted readonly.
When remounted manually, it worked fine.

No, I selected setup partitions and it simply dumped me back into setup.
