I have a toshiba 2500CDS laptop that I have
installed previous Debian releases on, but when I use the potato install disks
the kernel hangs when loading. I have had this problem before in previous
releases and if I remember correctly, I needed to use a zImage kernel as opposed
to the bzimage one used by default in Debian.
Just wondering why the old system of having the
"tecra" or "scsi" rescue floppies was abandoned and if someone could compile me
a rescue disk with a zimage kernel so I can return to linux instead of
windows...
thanks
