Yup.  The "Configure the Keyboard" dialog doesn't come up, selecting it
manually in the main menu gives:
"Error loading the keymap i386/qwerty/us.bmp from /etc/keymaps.tgz"
in a dialog and "loadkmap: not found" on the tty1 screen.

I'd have to double check but, IIRC, doing a "kbdconfig" on tty2 works.
I've installed so many times that I'm sometimes running on autopilot and
forget to keep accurate notes... one of these times I'm going to
accidentally wipe out a slink partition.  :)
