Hi,
I am trying to make use of an old PC that have been collecting dust for many
years.
The PC in question has been running Linux before in 1992-93 I beleave it was
and
no I dont have a valid backup left.

I am using the following boot and root images:
resc1200.bin
lowmemrd.bin

>From reading the manual I understand that after booting from the rescue disk
and when prompted
insert the root disk I should be presented with a menu where I can use fdisk
to create a swap and
temporary root partition. The booting goes fine, no errors as far as I can
se, but after the root disk
is loaded nothing happens.

The three last output is a lines is stating something like:
VFS: Insert root disk and press ENTER.
RAMDISK: root image at block 0.
VFS: has mounted the ramdisk.

After that nothing happens no menu or prompt is presented altough the system
seems to be alive.
No matter what key I press nothing happens besides that they are echoed to
the screen. Lastly if
I press Ctrl-Alt-Delete some line is outputed that says that something like
buffers are flushed, hard
as it disapears imedeatly.

The problem not only occurs with version 2.1.9, the same thing happens with
2.1.12.

Regards,
Johan Torssell
