it doesn't make too much of a difference really. if you gave dd a count,
it'll know the number of counts to write, so it prints the message
immediately, otherwise it just goes along and prints it when it finds the
end of the file/device. There is a slight gain in going from the default
block size of 512bytes to the 1kb to specified. but it's also more things to
type in incorrectly and mess things up :-)
