Bug#55849: does not support new 3c905 ("Tornado" and "Cyclone") nics
Scavenging the mail folder uncovered Stephen R. Gore's letter:

mmm... do you mean the Tornado boards? We are running a plain
potato on a firewall with 2 3c905c cards and, apart from a strange
error on startup (*** bad checksum 0x0b ***) we don't have any
problem. but i *will* download the patch and apply it when I
have some time...
that mean: this bug is not release-critical in my oppinion.
