i've installed two potatoes with boot floppies as of 2.2.4-2000-01-03 and used nfs for access method. i realised that ther was no moutn point /var/lib/dpkg/methods/mnt, so trying to use this method failed. after creating this mountpoint manually nfs method succeded. btw: is apt too big to be on boot-disks? gerhard
