FileHandle needs IO::File. This is just as crippling a problem for debconf
and the base system as was the overload omission.

I've upgrade to
perl-5.005-base_5.005.03-5.deb
and eventually too :
perl-base_5.004.05-1.1.deb
and re-installed debconf, crossing my toes... and :

Are u sure about Perl package version ?
