pump is a dhcp client developed by redhat, its smaller than dhcp-client, but
not configurable, dhcp-client is the only dhcp client that requires kernel
support.
IMHO dhcp-client is the the best, but for floppies where size is a
consideration pump or dhcpcd would be fine.
If someone has a troublesome network dhcp-client is there best choice due to
its configurability, but pump or dhcpcd would work most of the time im sure.

Hmm, never heard of pump before, and freshmeat.net doesn't
have anything on it. Is it better then dhcp-client?
