Does it actually work when specifying an external nameserver? I tried
that on an install party tree weeks ago and it failed. Because I
didn´t have time to debug (with people behind me waiting to see a
Debian installation) I just used the IP. Could be the disks or some
other error, but I want to let you know anyway.

Another thing for the network configuration would be to ask for
frequently used maschines that should be inserted into /etc/hosts, so
no nameserver lookup is needed for them. For 3-6 systems networks a
nameserver might be overkill.

Just my to 2 Euro worth of thoughts.
