MAKEFLOPPIES, run from postinst, is too fragile...

Package: fdutils
Version: 5.3-1
Severity: important

fdutils is failing to install properly for base for boot-floppies.
Perhaps we are doing something wrong, in which place, please let us
know.

fdutils postinst runs '/usr/sbin/MAKEFLOPPIES -g', which emits:

  Creating "/dev/fd0", ID=0, Type=4 (1.44M)
  mknod: /dev/fd0u360: File exists

And the errors out...
