I am using a six GB IDE Quantum Bigfoot hard drive. Almost all my system
specs can be found at http://assist.acer.com/public/system/91AA043015.htm.
I have a new Fellowes Browser2 mouse with a scroller-like button. I am no
longer using the 530 MB hard drive, but I do still have it. Also, I
changed my video card to a S3 Virge /DX. I did need to install a Dynamic
Drive Overlay to access all six GB of my hard drive (this was a long time
before trying to install Linux). Every time I try to boot Linux, either
off a floppy or the hard drive, my computer reboots. I can see "LILO Linux
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ." and then it reboots after
that. I have tried this even with the file "linux" for booting the system.
LILO does start when I boot from the hard drive and I see this:
"2FA:" If I type 2, I boot into Linux (which then reboots the system).
If I type A, I am presented with this:
"1234F:" Only "1" works. When I type that, it used to boot into Windows
95, but now it doesn't. In fact, it doesn't do anything now. I have
tried all the other numbers, but they don't do anything either.
