Bug#50014: base: Error in setting /etc/hostname and /proc/sys/kernel/hostname

Package: base
Version: 19991112
Severity: normal

During the installation, one is asked for 'hostname' and
'domainname'. One is expected to give a hostname of the form 'debian'
and some domainname. The hostname then ends up in /etc/hostname and
/proc/sys/kernel/hostname.

This is wrong, and makes at least zsh and hostname break.

Explanation:

/proc/sys/kernel/domainname is _not_ a part of the system's FQDN, it is
the NIS/YP domainname.

/proc/sys/kernel/hostname should be the FQDN of the host. This is were
hostname looks for the FQDN and zsh finds host information for for
example the prompt, etc.
