03:02 is /dev/hda2 , and the kernel is trying to mount the root
filesystem from that partition, and failing to find a proper ext2 fs
there.

If this error happens while booting the first time, the kernel on your
bootable medium ("rescue" floppy disk, I guess) is not properly configured.
If you have another linux system, mount that "rescue" floppy on /mnt and
run /mnt/rdev.sh to configure the kernel.

If this error happens while rebooting after intalling the Base System it
probably means that lilo wasn't run, or wasn't properly configured. Boot
again using the "rescue" floppy, open a shell on VT2 (press Alt-F2, then
ENTER), mount your root filesystem on /target, edit /target/etc/lilo.conf ,
and run /sbin/lilo .
