Bug#31099: marked as done (the 'load modules' screen hangs)

dinstall program dumps errors too fast to see, perhaps something like
cardmgr <info>: fuser: not found
cardmgr <info>: sed: not found
Then on reboot, the base system is improperly installed.

Also, the 'load modules' screen hangs (or takes so long it appears to
hang: more than 10-15 minutes in two tested instances).
