If I may connect to the political environment where DebianParl was
conceived, I'd like to say that exactly that argument was what gave the
project leverage in the EP.

It is also the underlying principle of the Commission's EU-FOSSA project
which will be presented on Sunday at FOSDEM:

I have understood the word "pure" in Debian Pure Blends as a guarantee
that each pure blend's knowledge flowing through the debian bugreport
system stays free.

Which in turn is the bleeding edge problem of publicly funded
infrastructure.
