History of name Blend seems important because it is a change which users
need to note - old Blends might be spared in the short announcement.

Definitely.
The only addition I would like to add to the text above is that Debian
GIS also includes OpenStreetMap which is *really* worth mentioning
because of the large OSM community and saying: Hey, Debian Squeeze
supports OpenStreetMap stuff sounds quite important to me.
