simple-cdd and installation progress bar

I've built an Etch-based CDD using simple-cdd having a single profile
that gets installed automatically. This profile has a _lot_ of packages.
Once the installation passes partitioning, base install, etc. the
progress bar is up-to 93% or so, and then gets to installing the
profile. The profile gets installed and everything works out fine,
except that the progress bar moves only from 93 to 96 (taking a looong
time to do son) and several users have complained that it doesn't give
them any useful feedback.

Apparently the list of packages to be installed by the profile is not
taken into account while calculating the progress of the installation
process. Is this a bug, or am I missing some parameter?
