Andreas... psst... it's a link inside the quote in his mail: svn co svn://svn.debian.org/debian-np/people/vagrant/simple-cdd It's also been mentioned by Vagrant a couple of times in this list already... you miss the good parts! :) It's a new script still in a testing stage, and it allows to create a CD image from a package list and some debconf preseeding. That's it: you write down the package list, you write down the new defaults for the templates and you run the script. A README file that comes with the checkout explains it all. It's a limited way of making CDDs, but it's damn simple, and it allows some freedom of movement that can be already more than enough for various needs.
