Re: p4_error
I built mpich 1.2.5 directly w/ pgi compilers. My configuration lines
are:
#./configure --prefix=/usr/local/pkgs/mpich-1.2.4 -c++=pgCC
--with-comm=shared -opt="-tp athlonxp"
-lib="-L/usr/local/pgi/linux86/lib -lpgf90 -lpgf90rtl -lpgftnrtl
-lpgc"
The following flags you may or may not want:
-opt = optimization, in this case just saying build mpich
w. especially for athlon XP and MP
--with-comm=shared - taken advantage of SMP nodes
-c++=pgCC - use pgi C++ compiler
I assume you can then follow the below steps to create a deb package,
though I haven't tried it myself.
If you go to the mpich web page:
http://www-unix.mcs.anl.gov/mpi/mpich/
Look under the patches, they have a discussion of fortran compiler
options.
