The purpose of you email should be finding the person that is most likely to
have your package uploaded. Sending RFS email (which would be equivalant to
sending email to lists.debian.org/package-sponsorship-requests), posting on
debian-backports, or sending email to individual DDs are all okay, but none
of them is absolutely mandatory.

In the current specific case: I saw your mail, reviewed it and had it
uploaded because I read debian-backports mailing list.

Another comment: please compare the difference between current version in
Testing and your prepared -bpo version. I believe there are some subtle
difference in debian/control package description texts. Ideally we want them
to be in sync.
