backports Release file Suite: = Codename:

Hey there.

I've noted that when using APT repos like:
  stable-backports
  stable-backports-debug
  (same for testing)
instead of the codenamed paths like:
  buster-*

... one gets warning in APT like:
  W: Conflicting distribution: http://deb.debian.org/debian stable-backports InRelease (expected stable-backports but got buster-backports)
  W: Conflicting distribution: http://deb.debian.org/debian-debug stable-backports-debug InRelease (expected stable-backports-debug but got buster-backports-debug)



This is probably because the Release files have the same value for
both:
  Suite: buster-backports
  Codename: buster-backports


Is there any deeper reason behind this and if not could it be fixed?
