Re: appimage, snap, flatpak, backport, when to use which?
My personal opinion is that with bsckports you get a chance of using libraries with security fixes. Either from the backport or from the system itself. With Snap etc. you might get security updates if a new release of the application in the snap package is made and therefore the snap package is regenerated.
