A file a bug; #867973. Proposed-updates don't want it, saying that it's better suited for backports rather than for a point release.

So, I'm back here again --- anyone willing to sponsor this?

Yes, it's a pseudo-package[1]. Use `reportbug release.debian.org` from a Debian
system, as it will ensure the bug is appropriately tagged to show up as a
proposed update. You can see all the current jessie-pu bugs here[2].
