OK, got it, thanks! I do backports for the Jessie-based MX 15 distro,
so that's something to keep in mind. I also run a little
jessie-backports multimedia repository of my own on the openSUSE Build
service for testing things--the nice thing about that is that if I
update something like x265 in that, everything that depended on
libx265-dev package automatically gets a triggered rebuild from the base
up, so it goes like x265--> ffmpeg --> kodi / dvdstyler / mplayer /
qmplay2 / libgegl --> gimp-2.9.5, and so on. It takes down all those
packages until they get rebuilt, though.
