How long a backport must be maintained is not documented
Hi,
Looking at http://backports.debian.org/Contribute/,
especially the section "Some important note",
there seems to be no documentation on how long
a backport must be maintained. The possible
options are:
Until the next stable release.
Until long term support runs out.
Forever.
It would be good to let people know how long backports
are maintained.
---
On a related note there is no mention of what
to do if you make the commitment to maintain
a backport and find you are unable to meet
that commitment. (It must happen...)
---
If I should be filing a bug report please let me
know what "package" to file against. Thanks.
