libreoffice-avmedia-backend-vlc does not support any media format

Hi all

I use the latest LibreOffice backport. Because of
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81849 I am unable to
use libreoffice-avmedia-backend-gstreamer in any meaningful way.
LibreOffice just freezes for minutes when working with presentations
that include media files. Therefore I installed
libreoffice-avmedia-backend-vlc instead and removed
libreoffice-avmedia-backend-gstreamer.

Unfortunately, after switching to libreoffice-avmedia-backend-vlc,
inserting any media file into an Impress document fails with the
following error message: "The format of the selected file is not
supported." Is there a package dependency missing?

Is there any combination of packages/configurations in Debian so that
working with media files in LibreOffice Impress basically works?
