Chromium-browser end of live

Hello,

I saw the message that chromium-browser from Wheezy is end of live,
because Chromium upstream stopped supporting wheezy's build environment
(gcc 4.7, make, etc.). https://www.debian.org/security/2015/dsa-3148

My question is now, couldn't we backport the build-environment after a
while, so that this problem in the feature will not happen again?

When this is the wrong mailinglist to discuss this, please point me to
the right one.
