The version of rsync in wheezy (and earlier) has known bugs (--fake-super tries to set xattrs on symlinks, which Linux does not support). Building my own backports seems to require ~100 dependencies, and my current target is embedded (PowerPC), so it's not something I can do myself. Would anyone be able to backport the current rsync to wheezy? Thanks, Luke
