Re: Backporting kate (at least 4.11.n) to Wheezy by a newbie?

Ok, I've basically put the files in ~.

I may have run into my limit.

The dependencies called for various packages at or above a certain revision level:

dpkg-checkbuilddeps: Unmet build dependencies: cmake kde-sc-dev-latest (>= 4:4.12) kdelibs5-dev (>= 4:4.12) libkactivities-dev (>= 4:4.11) libqjson-dev pkg-config pkg-kde-tools (>= 0.12)

I started apt-get install'ing them one at a time: cmake worked, the next one didn't:

root@s19:/rhk01/kate_dev/kate-4.14.1# apt-get install kde-sc-dev-latest {=4:4.12}

Reading package lists... Done

Building dependency tree

Reading state information... Done

E: Unable to locate package {

root@s19:/rhk01/kate_dev/kate-4.14.1#

Did I get the syntax wrong? Or will I have to create a backport package for kde-sc-dev-latest, and probably several other of the build dependencies?
