Hmm,

might be possible to install it directly via jessie. I'll try that out and if it works, we can forget this! :)

Package: dh-virtualenv
Version: 0.7-2

The resulting binary package is an Arch: all package. Is there a reason why you can't just install the package from jessie on a wheezy system?

DSC file can be found here:
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/d/dh-virtualenv/dh-virtualenv_0.7-2~bpo70+1.dsc

The source package available at that location is inconsistent:

$ dpkg-source -x dh-virtualenv_0.7-2~bpo70+1.dsc
gpgv: Signature made Wed Aug 20 09:54:34 2014 CEST using RSA key ID 8D083CA7
gpgv: Can't check signature: public key not found
dpkg-source: warning: failed to verify signature on ./dh-virtualenv_0.7-2~bpo70+1.dsc
dpkg-source: error: File ./dh-virtualenv_0.7.orig.tar.gz has size 25347 instead of expected 26017

Micha
