 Hmm, me didn't try it neither ...

 Sure - if you have any suggestion please send in text for it.  I'm
uncertain myself how to best do that.  I use aptitude and the
interactive conflict resolution myself all of the time so I probably
don't know what to suggest for plain apt-get users. :)
