Thanks for taking the time to reply and for your suggestion. But given that I found a workaround (use the DVI output from a docking station instead of the laptop's DisplayPort output) AND that I really don't want to spend the time to reproduce on kernel.org 3.10 and 3.11 kernels (which also means compile them), I guess I'm just going to drop the ball on this one.
I understand that I'm not providing all the necessary info, but I'm a bit unsure about what the necessary info are.You should also provide kernel boot logs for the working and broken states.
