Unfortunately, that version is not a candidate for backporting. The
rules at http://backports-master.debian.org/Contribute/ state that
only packages that are currently in testing should be backported.

Mike, can you please retest with libssh 0.5.2? Laurent, the libssh
maintainer, is concerned about #648738, which actually broke remmina.
If my suspicion is correct, then this constitutes an undesired
side-effect of ABI and libssh should have bumped soname. In that case,
backporting 0.5.2 to squeeze-backports would break remmina in stable
if you install x2goclient.

Interestingly, there is no such report for KDE, so maybe this issue is
specific to how remmina uses libssh.
