logging path/function ignored ..

Hello,

i have a problem with the nginx function "access_log".

I can't change the directory (access_log /var/log/nginx/test1.log;) or
disable the log function (access_log off;).

nginx -v
nginx version: nginx/0.7.67

and i use Debian Lenny with Backports.
