Do you, bychance, use stanzas like this:
disk = [ 'foo-lun-0-part-1,sda1,w', 'foo-lun-0-part-2,sda2,w' ]
If so, GRUB as packaged has never worked and probably cannot.
The correct fix is to use this instead:
disk = [ 'foo-lun-0,sda,w' ]
