This is misrepresenting. I build my packages under etch, and they're targeted at etch and work on etch. I build the source packages on sid. Etch's dpkg-source can unpack them just fine. Neither Alexander nor Joerg have given me any technical reason for why they have a problem with it. Alexander pointed out that it's against the "policy", but failed to show me where the policy (with which I think he means [0]) talks about source files. They have failed to produce log files of any problems that this causes, and I cannot imagine that a few extra fields in the changes and dsc files cause a problem; if this were the case, then dak is broken. 0. http://backports.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=contribute Instead, Joerg has changed dak to refuse sid source packages. This is a regression and a way to argue which I don't want to accept. I have thus asked for my key to be removed and will maintain my own repository at deb http://debian.madduck.net/repo etch-backports main It will get populated once I return from my current business trip. -- .''`. martin f. krafft <madduck@debian.org> : :' : proud Debian developer, author, administrator, and user `. `'` http://people.debian.org/~madduck - http://debiansystem.info `- Debian - when you have better things to do than fixing systems "i have smoked pot. it is a stupid business, like masturbation." -- thomas pynchon
