I ran: apt-get -t etch-backports install dovecot-imapd And it ran successfully (downloading from backports.org) It started, but running dovecot --version Returned 1.0.15, not 1.1.0. Also, setting 'subscriptions = no' in one of my namespaces (which is what I installed the backport for, it's a feature new in 1.1), results in an configuration error, and dovecot refuses to start.
