Ruby in backports has arbitrary code execution vulnerabilities

Hi all,

I have noticed that the version of ruby in backports (1.8.6-p114) is
vulnerable to the security bug detailed here

The version in lenny (1.8.7-p22) is not vulnerable but I wouldn't know where
to start on getting that backported.

How might I get the ball rolling on getting updated version into backports?
