 It got accepted this very moment into the backports archive, too,
thanks to Alexander Wirt. I though haven't added any backentries into
the changes file because I had the impression that postgresql-8.3 being
a new package doesn't need it.

 On the other hand it is based on the postgresql-8.1 packaging from
stable, you might find this link helpful to see the changelog entries
from in between, if you are usually checking them on the -changes list:
<http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/p/postgresql-8.3/current/changelog>

 I have no opinion on postgis, but be assured that slony1 1.2.13 will be
using postgresql-8.3 instead of postgresql-8.2, so if you are using the
backports of slony1 with postgresql-8.2 you might want to fetch the
1.2.12 packages from my site as last version to support that:
  <http://rhonda.deb.at/debian/bpo/slony1/>

 Unfortunately due to some build issues related to ghostscript and the
documentation this never made it into stable and thus neither into
backports.

 The new mentioned 1.2.13 version of slony1 is currently stuck in the
NEW queue due to having a new binary package (well, for pg 8.3, of
course): <http://ftp-master.debian.org/new.html>

 So long,
Rhonda
