I've had no success getting my key included on several occasions; it's a
shame, as I'm a big user and fan of backports.org and, moving forward,
I'm likely to want to provide backports of a number of my own packages.
I realise that backports.org isn't an official Debian project, but it's
now important enough in my mind that it could really do with a bit more
transparency.

Is my failure to get added simply a resource problem (in which case can
more "keymasters" be added to backports.org) or is it a hidden policy
issue? The web page
http://www.backports.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=contribute implies that
any registered DD is welcome to contribute with no other policy
requirements; is this still the case?)

Has making backports.org an official Debian sub-project been discussed
in the past at all?

Thanks for any insights,

Dominic.
