linux-image in sarge-backports/main newer than in etch/main?

Hmm...  Why are the backports.org linux-image's newer than the ones in
testing?

     2.6.18-8~bpo.1 0
        200 http://www.backports.org sarge-backports/main Packages
 *** 2.6.18-7 0
        500 http://http.us.debian.org etch/main Packages

Or am I missing something obvious?
