Christian,

thank you very much for the answer.

Now I have

1) added

Package: openoffice.org
Pin: release a=sarge-backports
Pin-Priority: 999

to my preferences file in /etc/apt.

2) aptitude install -P openoffice.org

3) I got the following message:

The following packages are unused and will be REMOVED:
  libdb4.2++ libneon23 libstlport4.6 openclipart-png openoffice.org
  ttf-opensymbol
The following packages will be automatically REMOVED:
  openclipart-openoffice.org openoffice.org-bin
openoffice.org-debian-files
  openoffice.org-help-en openoffice.org-l10n-en
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  openclipart-openoffice.org openoffice.org-bin
openoffice.org-debian-files
  openoffice.org-help-en openoffice.org-l10n-en
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 11 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B of archives. After unpacking 214MB will be freed.

As you can see, aptitude wants now to completely remove the default
installation of openoffice.org in sarge. But it does not install the
version from backports in turn...

The same with aptitude -t sarge-backports install -P openoffice.org

Am I doing the right things?

Thank you in advance

Marcelo
