Sure it's okay, the reason why I didn't update the debhelper backport
is the Python transition, which needs to be reverted for the backport.

If it's gonna generate a ton of work, then I don't exactly NEED it. I have a couple of options, in that I can edit the package and downgrade the dependency, or I could upgrade the machine to etch.

BTW, how is etch these days?  Fairly stable/useable?
