Huh? You could always use 'dpkg --force-overwrite' in such a case...

Yes, it was fixed in 6.9.0.dfsg.1-2 from unstable, we currently have
6.9.0.dfsg.1-2bpo1 on backports.org, the backport of 6.9.0.dfsg.1-3.
