casarest?

Hi

I recently became aware of this package
https://github.com/casacore/casarest/

I see that in salsa there is a similar source package
https://salsa.debian.org/debian-astro-team/casasynthesis
that was forked from the 'synthesis submodule' a few yeara ago.
But there don't seem to be any binaries available from it
(casasynthesis-dev, libcasasynthesis1) and I can't get it
to build on a buster machine.

Is there any interest in packaging 'casarest'?
I am helping to port another package [1] to casacore 3.x
and casarest is now a dependency.
